Let's table the fact that my dream for many years was to cultivate a Royal Tenenbaums family of my own. The topic of the hour is the masterfully textured set design in Wes Anderson's movies. Bold beautiful quirk abounds with a twist of nostalgia. The Royal Tenenbaums was especially virtuosic but let's not forget The Fantastic Mr. Fox, Life Aquatic, Darjeeling Express and Moonrise Kingdom to name a few.
