Hump Day Culture: Inspirations from Berlin
For those of you who missed the AIA sponsored discussion and exhibition opening, you can still swing by the Goethe Institut in my old hood to check out Parks & Passages: Inspirations from Berlin for Washington’s Dupont Underground. It's an investigation of relics, ruins and reconstruction in the capital cities of Berlin and Washington, DC and initiates a creative dialogue to serve as a point of reference for workshops engaging questions of how the Dupont Underground could be a creative catalyst for DC. (Just to remind you, the Dupont Underground is a 75,000 sq ft abandoned streetcar tunnel directly beneath Dupont Circle). So happy that the Dupont Underground is looking to one of my favorite cities for inspiration! Typical brilliance thanks to the Provisions Library's initiative. More on the Underground coverage (and pics!) here, here and here.
