When a couple of urban dwellers with two young sons decamped to the suburbs, they called upon Breeze to revamp their new home. The house was located in the Palisades neighborhood of Washington D.C, which is known for its more traditional aesthetic, and the clients sought a design that would better reflect their light, airy aesthetic. Inspired by one of their favorite city haunts—the Line Hotel in Adams Morgan—Breeze brought modern flair and functionality to the home, while honoring its traditional shell. The mostly white palette, sprinkled with dashes of black and cream, creates a crisp backdrop for natural materials, modern art, and clean-lined furniture to shine. Still, nothing in the home is too precious—high performance materials and fabrics are the perfect complement to the young family’s busy lifestyle.
