Assistant Purchasing Asssociate

Breeze Giannasio Interiors seeks an Assistant Purchasing Associate to support in all phases of procurement for high-end residential projects in the Greater Los Angeles area and beyond. 

Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented and diligent. High emphasis on accuracy and meticulous follow-through. 

  • Must be able to self-manage as this is a remote, administrative position. 

  • Highly proficient in basic computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office programs, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro. Will be required to learn Ivy: The Business Management Software for Designers. 

  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and report on the tasks at hand. A solution-oriented attitude is a must. 

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with an ability to juggle multiple projects in various phases. This is a high-paced environment and candidates must be willing and able to learn and apply new concepts quickly. 

  • Must be a resourceful, innovative, and proactive problem solver with the ability to work in a team environment, under tight deadlines.

  • 2~3 years of work experience in Purchasing or Bookkeeping-related administrative position preferably in Construction, Hospitality, Retail, Interior Design, Furniture or Millwork Industry, but not required. Experience with FF&E purchasing is a bonus.  

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Design Team and Purchasing Manager to help facilitate a smooth and efficient procurement process through various tasks.

  • Using our designated software program Ivy, develop client proposals with accurate specifications and pricing information. 

  • Assist the Design Team and Purchasing Manager with any troubleshooting required. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transactions and statuses. 

  • Support the Purchasing Manager with order fulfillment challenges or damages, coordinating with vendors and furniture medics as needed. 

  • Any additional assistance required by the Design Team, including, but not limited to following up on sample requests. 

Please note this is not a Designer position. It is a focused, administrative role which is an integral part of the design execution process. 

Full time desired, though 20-30 hr/week also acceptable. Salary commensurate with experience

Design Intern

Breeze Giannasio Interiors is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Design Intern for the semester beginning in September 2021. We'd love you for 10-15 hours per week or 40 hours per week.  This is unpaid but there is the possibility of school credit or switching to hourly pay after a two week trial period.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting Designers with pricing, quotes, and selection of materials which may require trips to the Design Center and local showrooms. Other duties may include hand and CAD/REVIT drafting, and entry of detailed FFE specifications, assisting with preparation of presentations, overseeing bespoke furniture design, fabrics, lighting, art, finishes, updating appliance, hardware and plumbing schedules as well as assisting with filing and other administrative duties.  Assisting with preparation for photoshoots and styling day-of may also be required.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Experience in interiors or architecture, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, SketchUp, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat skills required.  Great work ethic and desire to dig in also required!

Project Manager

Breeze Giannasio Interiors seeks a Senior Project Manager with at least 5-7 years ground up construction and renovation experience to manage and execute all facets of high-end residential design for projects in the Greater Los Angeles area. Looking for a no drama, solution-focused, reliably independent project manager who can simultaneously self-manage their contributions to this company while also working seamlessly within a team setting.


Responsibilities:

  • Full accountability and ownership of multiple interior design construction projects down to each detail, including:

  • Lead construction related interior design assignments that include conceptual design, schematic design, design development & construction documents.

  • Maintain & monitor project profitability and schedule adherence.

  • Proactively manage client and contractor communication

  • Confidently collaborate with outside architects, contractors & subcontractors, client representatives, vendors and other 3rd parties.

  • Prepare client presentations & proposals.

  • Coordinate, attend and lead client meetings.

  • Create floor plans, elevations and design details (preferably using AutoCAD).

  • Source architectural finish materials including tile, stone, base moldings and hardware.

  • Provide diligent site supervision with a focus on design implementation and quality control

  • Prepare budgets and update project schedules

  • Ensure the accuracy, timely installation and quality of all aspects of a remodel project

  • Coordinate and manage deliveries, storage, and installations

  • Manage client accounts, including hourly billing and account balances

  • Provide quality assurance and concierge customer services

  • Keep clients updated and team members informed on all project developments and needs

  • Work seamlessly with the Principal and Senior Designer to manage, assign tasks, review, and motivate junior team members.

  • Continuous refinement and improvement of design execution processes

Interior Designer

Breeze Giannasio Interiors is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Designer who works well independently and with teams.  The Designer will assist the design team with overseeing and managing long-term, high-end residential  projects from concept through procurement and installation. 

Responsibilities include:
Developing finish, appliance, hardware and plumbing schedules.; Assist with preparing client presentations; Tracking, ordering, and processing purchase orders and maintaining budgets for multiple vendors and clients. Sourcing and overseeing bespoke furniture design, fabrics, lighting, art, and finishes; Create detailed FFE specifications. Assist with creating drawing sets, in coordination with the senior designer/architect; Exhibit strong communication skills with relation to client interaction; Ability to produce complete construction drawings.; Coordinate with outside consultants and vendors; Have a good understanding of interior finishes, materials, furniture, lighting, fixtures, and FF&E schedules and budgets for hospitality and residential projects; Proficiency in millwork detailing and specifications and reviewing shop drawings; Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. 

Desired Skills & Experience: 
Highly proficient in Autocad and Revit. 
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional working experience in interiors or architecture and a degree from an accredited school of interior design or architecture. 
Experience in interior design and architecture for hospitality and high-end residential projects. 
Experience with creating all project documentation, including Design Development and Construction sets, plus doing Construction Administration through the end of projects. 
Must have strong AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, SketchUp, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat skills. LEED accreditation a plus; Strong knowledge of environmental and sustainability friendly products. 
Basic knowledge of current building codes including ADA requirements. LEED accreditation a plus.
